BSB07 BUSINESS SERVICES TRAINING PACKAGE

Innovation Business Skills Australia (IBSA) is currently undertaking a review of the Occupational Health and Safety Qualifications and units of competency contained within the BSB07 Business Service Training Package. This involves making changes to the suite of Occupational Health and Safety qualifications and units of competency in BSB07 Business Services Training Package.

IBSA is seeking feedback from stakeholders and will be undertaking National consultation.

PENDING & NEW TRAINEESHIPS

(BSB41407) Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety (Pending)

FAPSTC recently submitted a request to the State Training Board to establish a traineeship for the Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety (BSB41407). The proposal is currently being considered by the Establishment & Variation of Apprenticeships Committee.

BSB51107 Diploma of Management (New)

This traineeship was established and published in the Government Gazette on 2 September 2011.

The traineeship reflects the role of individuals who are engaged to manage the work of others or to add value to or review management practices. The qualification requires a sound theoretical knowledge base and managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate own work or the work of a team.

CPP07 PROPERTY SERVICES TRAINING PACKAGE

National House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) and Residential Building Mandatory Disclosure (RBMD)
A project has commenced for the development of qualifications for Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) and units of competency for Residential Building Mandatory Disclosure (RBMD) assessors. Click for details

Building Design Project
A project is underway to develop qualifications for building designers. The qualifications and units of competency that are developed will be added to the CPP07 Property Services Training Package. The provision of nationally recognised, high quality, qualifications in building design will help ensure the availability of a skilled workforce, attract new entrants and also enable the recognition of skilled experienced practitioners who may not currently hold a qualification.Click for details

Security Industry- Cash-in-Transit
A project for the review and redevelopment of units of competency for four units of competency for the cash-in-transit industry sector have been housed to date, within the Transport and Logistics Training Package.Click for details

Spatial Information Services
Industry has identified the need to review the Advanced Diploma of Spatial Information Services and development of a new Advanced Diploma of Surveying to meet regulatory and industry requirements. The project will also review a number of imported units that have not been redeveloped in their parent Training Package or are not reflective of current industry practice. IBSA is undertaking follow-up work on aspects of the FNS10 Training Package that were outstanding at the end of the review. Changes will be incorporated into a Version 2 of FNS10. Click for details

Apprenticeships/traineeships combine practical experience at work with structured training.

Apprenticeships - are generally in traditional technical trades like bricklaying or cabinet making.
